We are absolutely delighted that Ev’ry Turn of the Tide, a short film featuring the dance duet from our opera film HerStory, was recently selected for the Breaking Down Barriers 2024 film festival which will be held in Moscow from 8-11th November 2024. A total of 741 films were submitted from 80 countries.
Breaking Down Barriers was launched in 2002 and since then has screened more than 800 films from 60 countries. The biennial festival aims to educate the community about disability issues and challenges that people with disabilities face in their daily lives, while celebrating the lives and achievements of people with disabilities from all over the world.
Congratulations to Sarah Lewis, who directed the film, John Fensom, film-maker, and our two star dancers Patricia Bradbrook and Fiona MacKenzie. The film also features the beautiful vocals of Nicola Wydenbach and Vanessa Heine.
