We had such a fantastic and enriching afternoon last Friday leading a training session for artists, creatives and producers wanting to work with visually impaired communities.
The session, led by Cohere Arts board members Clare Burman and Carolyn Allum (who are both visually impaired) alongside our Artistic/Executive Director Dr Amy Mallett, was attended by 11 artists and creatives keen to build confidence around working creatively with people living with sight loss.
Kindly hosted by DanceEast, in this interactive workshop we were able to share our learning about VI access, participatory practices across artforms, and also learn some basic guiding thanks to Arlette from local sight loss charity Suffolk Sight.
