In July 2021 our creative team gathered with a community chorus to make an audio recording of music theatre piece Witchfinder in the wonderfully atmospheric setting of Walpole Old Chapel.
The project was part of a wider programme of work made possible by Heritage Lottery Fund and National Lottery players, and this event marked the end of 16 months of not only COVID-19 lockdown but also a ban on ensemble singing.
Film maker John Fensom documented the impact that taking part in the recording, and the workshops that preceded it, had on both the community and professional team members involved.
Thanks to Friends of Walpole Old Chapel, Holton St Peter Primary School, The Cut Choir, and Unscene Suffolk.
