Pop-up exhibition

Yesterday we spent a beautiful crisp December morning at Bishop’s Cafe and Tearooms sharing an exhibition of artworks created in our latest Little Lights art cafe series. The event celebrated creativity, community, recovery and hope.

Friends, family & supporters gathered to celebrate the rich array of drawings, paintings, collage and 3D artworks made by participants of our workshops, which are supported by Suffolk and North East Essex Alliance (NHS).

Each week, visual artist Marie has led optional art activities inspired by the natural surroundings of Holywells Park, where the cafe is situated. One of our Little Lights artists reflected on their experience of this latest series of art workshops: “It really feels like a lifeline each week – something to look forward to, and somewhere I don’t have to mask my illnesses.”

Big thanks to Bishop’s Cafe for being such warm hosts as the days have grown colder, our senior producer Philly and our lovely volunteer Marianna who has supported the sessions.
