A seated singing group for people living with chronic pain and/or long term health conditions

Do you live with chronic pain or a long term health challenge? Could singing help?

There is growing evidence that regular singing can help address a number of physical and mental health challenges from anxiety and depression to neurological disorders.

We are delighted to have been awarded funding from East Suffolk Council via the Collaborative Communities Board to set up a new seated singing group based in Woodbridge Library.

The group will meet on Friday mornings 10:30 – 12:00, starting on Friday 29th April 2022, offering a friendly, relaxed opportunity to sing uplifting songs in the company of other people who are experiencing similar challenges. We’ll do an hour of singing followed by 30 minutes of social time. Sessions are free to attend, and you’ll also be offered complimentary tea/coffee.

The activity is suitable for people living with chronic pain and mild to moderate symptoms of long term health conditions. You are encouraged to bring along a partner, friend or loved one. The library is fully accessible with disabled parking available close by.
