A poem by Patricia Bradbrook
Delicate flowers on long slender stems
Climb so high
Tendrils cling bravely to string supports
Which each spring we tie
To canes so tall
When buds peep out and begin to grow
Wondrously vibrant colours begin to show
Their buds unfurl like sails in the wind
Fragrant smells waft around in the air
Eagerly we wait for first full flowers bloom
A multitude of colour there
Ready to pick and smilingly share
